Little Earth Pre-school understands the importance of the early years in a child’s development. We know that consistency and continuity of care will amplify the benefits of our educational program. As a result, we place great importance on developing secure and trustworthy relationships between parents, children and staff alike. Similarly, our staff selection process at Little Earth is guided by creating an environment where teachers and staff are warm, positive and engaged. Our teachers are trained to treat each and every child with respect, while identifying and encouraging their interests. All our teachers are qualified and experienced individuals, who further benefit from ongoing, in-house training to enhance our education offering. All staff members are qualified in First Aid.
It was James Dean who said: ‘Only the gentle are ever really strong.’ It’s a mantra we live by at Little Earth Pre-school. All our staff engage in one-to-one, face-to-face interactions with the children, speaking in a pleasant, soothing voice, using appropriate language and frequent eye contact. All interactions are characterized by gentle, supportive responses and discipline is handled in a positive, empowering way. We are proud of our staff for the love, care and insight they bestow on our children.
The rest of the staff are experts in their own fields too from the Management Team (available on-site from 07:00 – 17:00) to the Kitchen staff, Security, Maintenance Team, and Garden workers.
